FAQ's About Work @ Home Affiliation
Here are Frequent Asked Questions on our Work At Home Web site!
What
makes Work@Home different?
There are numerous of work-from-home offers on the Internet and you might ask why you
should choose Work@Home and what makes us different from the others.
In a word:
community.
When you join Work@Home, you aren't just purchasing a list of information-type materials. You're joining a
community of home workers who interact with each other and participate in the Work At Home
site.
Work@Home members help each other by sharing information, answering questions, giving tips and job leads – some
even volunteer to work on the site by verifying jobs, editing reports, and tracking down information to build up
experience.
The members are what make Work At Home Affiliation different from the rest!
How
often does the work from home jobs get updated on your member site?
We update the work at home job database on an average of 1 to 2 times a week. We do try to update it most of the time more often; however there are weeks that
they are slower.
Is
there more to your company and the membership then just the work from home job database?
Yes, there is much more than just the job database.
A work at home job database alone is really not that useful to someone that is looking for work at home.
You need to know certain steps to take such as what kind of resume you need. How should you
approach the companies?
Should you classify your work as an employee looking for work at home or as a business offering a service to
the companies? You also need to know how to use the most popular software programs that most offices use
daily. We provide video software tutorials to help you gain better
computer skills.
Other sites charge hundreds of dollars for similar tutorials. You can
access all of our tutorials as part of your membership. These are all
things that we cover on the member site.
How
much work at home information is on the member site?
A lot! When the entire site is printed if you are lucky it might fit into a 2" binder notebook. It takes several
days to go through the entire site of work at home information.
Does
your staff give any support to the member after they join? Can we contact your company if we have
questions?
Absolutely! We have one to one chats when requested, as well as a group chat that members can join in on. We also
have one on one chats with any member that needs some assistance in getting started with looking for jobs,
contacting the companies, resumes (Précis), Online Software Tutorials, Web Design Tutorial, etc. We are available
via chats, email, phone, fax, and even voice conf. to the members.
How
do I know if your work at home jobs are real and if you are a scam or not.
All I can say to you is to go with your gut feeling.
I can tell you all day long how real we are, but if you are skeptical and feel uneasy with it then you need to wait
until you feel comfortable about it.
The only other thing I can say is that as the owner of the company; I myself am a Christian and I know how it feels
to be scammed, I feel that those that are out there scamming people will have to answer to the good Lord above one
day and personally I do not want to be one of those people.
I love the Lord and plan to be on the right side of the fence! If this offends some people then I am sorry but I am
not ashamed of being a Christian and I believe in treating others as you want to be treated.
It should not matter if it is $1.00 or $100.00, if you are scammed it is still your hard earned money and no one
has the right to rip that off from you!
There is a difference in paying for a "job" to "get hired" and paying for a "service" to assist in getting a job.
No one should ever pay to "get hired"! If a company is hiring you to work for them, then they should be
paying you not the other way around.
(See next Question for "why we charge a fee")
It is also important to understand that we are much more than just a job database!
Our site has online software tutorials, tons of work at home information, sections like our "50 ways to work at
home”, "How to write a work at home resume" and so much more! We also have archives of previous chat sessions and
newsletters about different work at home / telecommuting subjects to better assist you in working at home. All of
this will help you be more successful in your work at home career.
We will be up front and honest and will not mislead you in anyway; we will tell you both the pros and cons of
working at home.
Some scams will try to convince you that you can get "rich" working from home so you will buy their product.
However, this is just not the case in most work at home situations. Yes, you can make nice money in different
career choices from home, and yes there are some people that do make a huge success of their home business.
Yet; for most of the average people working at home they will make an average nice living. You also save on things
like day care, car fuel, office clothing, and much more by working from your home office.
Yet there are up front expenses if you do not already have things like computer, printer, Internet hook up, word
processing /spread sheet software, and other home office equipment / supplies.
Why
do you charge a fee for the memberships? Why don't you make the companies pay to place the work from home job
ad with you instead?
The reason we charge a very small fee for the membership is because there is a lot more to the site then just
entering jobs in a database. It takes time and money to keep a company running when you have to do research,
meetings, data entry, one on one member support with the members, designing and updating of the site,
etc.
We have staff that researches information every day for our W@HA members, as well as updates the site for our
members also. We include one to one member chats and group chats as well when requested to answer questions and to
pass along information about working at home. Therefore; we do charge a small fee.
The reason we do not charge the companies to post their jobs in our database is because we want to encourage the
companies to place their jobs with us. There are so many places on the Internet that they can place the jobs for
without a charge that they would stop sending us the jobs and would continue with the other places. It is hard to
earn the trust of companies to place the work at home job with you (the legitimate companies) there for we want to
encourage them not discourage them.
Also as we have mentioned the site is much more than just the job database. This takes time and money to
run.
